Dear Future Grade 5 Students

Dear Future Grade Five Students,

Hi my name is Kyle our Exhibition central idea was society’s responsibility is to build a physically and mentally healthy community. My topic was animal therapy and I chose it because I love animals, and it connected because they make you mentally healthy. In this letter I will be giving you advice for Exhibition.

My 1st piece Of advice is to always stay on task even if other kids aren’t and it’s annoying stay on task just keep working  and when there struggling to finish and you’re already done your the one who’s not stressing and just simply  practicing your presentation your presentation.

My second piece of advice is Listen to the teachers, if you listen to the teachers they will tell you what you need to do and keep you on track, if you don’t you will find yourself not doing what you need to do and struggling to catch up.

My final piece of advice is practice your presentation lots, if you’ve practiced enough you won’t be nervous you’ll say everything you need say it clearly and won’t be nervous. My group did this and the showcase flew by it was easy, fun and simple.

I hope this letter helps you for when you do Exhibition and that you remember to Stay on task, listen to your teacher and practice presenting.

Kind Regards,

Kyle

Dear future grade 5 students

Dear future grade fives,

My name is Naman, and my topic is gender equality I choose this topic because I wanted to take action and try to stop gender inequality and start equality but before you can do that you need to learn about gender inequality and equality so this is why I choose this topic. Our central idea was:Society’s responsibility is to build a physical and mentally healthy community. This letter is about…advice. This advice should help you go through exhibition smoothly.

My first piece of advice is to not choose what your friends or friend chooses because then if you are picked to be together you will have tons of of fights and it will feel like the longest ten weeks of your life. The teachers in charge of you will keep you together and if you have a fight you will have to stick with that person and keep on working with them until the end of exhibition. That is something you might not want to do so stay positive and listen to your group members not argue with them, ( like my group did ) stay happy with your group.

My second piece of advice is to not waste time like me and my group did because then we had not enough research and we were behind so we needed to speed up but it was hard to get the research and all the other stuff beside research and we were far, far, of while people were all the way up done putting there research into the folders. Then when we went for the interview we got tons of information and is two days we were done research so don’t talk to other groups and stay focused on your work because it will help you not other groups how are doing another topic.

My third piece of advice is to speak louder when you are presenting to the kids and to the parents because if you are quiet you will need to repeat lots of things that you say and it will be hard for them to understand you and then they will not be interested in your presentation and go away to someone else’s presentation and turn their backs towards you. Try to talk louder so that you have more people involved into your presentation.

Best wishes,
Naman

Dear Future Grade 5 Students!

Dear Future Grade 5 Students,

Hi my name is Tiana. In Exhibition our central idea was society’s responsibility is to build physically and mentally healthy community. My topic was Animal Therapy. I choose this topic because I wanted to learn more about how animals can help with therapy.

In this letter I will be giving you advice for when you do Exhibition.

My first piece of advice is use your time wisely. Don’t fool around with your partner(s) because if you don’t use your time wisely you won’t get much work done. You may think 9 weeks is a lot of time but it is not. It goes by so fast. The stage of Exhibition is #1 Pick your topic, #2 See who’s in your group, #3 Get to know each other, #4 Start some research, #5 Start more research and you will start having interviews with experts, #6 Then you start making your scripts for when you share all of that knowledge you know about your topic with people that may not know a lot about your topic, #7 Then comes Exhibition night.

My second piece of advice is to cooperate with your partner(s) and try not to fight because you have to be with you partner(s) for 9 more weeks. So I don’t thinking fighting in the first week of Exhibition is going to help you for the next 9 weeks. Also is you fight you may not get that much work done & then when people ask you questions our may not know the answer because you didn’t find that much information about your topic & your script for Exhibition night has to be 5 minutes or longer.

My third piece of advice is to cite your sources right after you have an interview or a website Ms. Hooper gives you because if you don’t cite your sources then you will have to go back and look at where you found the information from and that takes up some time. But if you cite your sources right after you get information you won’t waste time.

I hope this letter helps you with citing your sources, cooperating with your group & using your time wisely.

Yours Sincerely,
Tiana

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

My name is Nathanael. Our Exhibition theme was who we are. Our central idea was: society’s Responsibility is to build a physically and mentally healthy community. My Exhibition topic was about the effects of drugs. I chose this topic because drugs can be really bad and addictive so I wanted to learn more about it. This letter is to give you information and details about Exhibition.

My first piece of advice is to choose topic that you are interested. If you choose a topic you are not interested in then you will not like the research and it might be hard for you.

My second piece of advice is to stay away from groups and friends that you know or else you will have a hard time finishing up your work.

My third piece advice is when you are speaking with adults and answering questions is to give them information so that they are more informed about your topic.

I hope this letter will help you in Exhibition. Choose a topic that interests you, stay away from people who distract and answer adult questions during the showcase.

Sincerely,

Nathanael

Dear Future Grade 5 Students

Dear future grade 5’s,

My name is Lorelei. My topic was music therapy. I chose music therapy because I love music and I love helping people so I chose music therapy. In this letter I will be giving you advice about exhibition that I hope will help you through this tough journey.

My first piece of advice is to stay on task. If you don’t stay on task then you will have PILES of work to do instead of just an amount that anyone could handle. Sometimes I would fool around or argue with my partner but we were very lucky to not fall behind. If you get in a fight with your partner just take some time away from each other and work by yourself. That really helped me. Make sure that you don’t because it’s very hard when you have to do extra work.

My second piece of advice is to do your bibliography when you find a source because if you don’t cite your source then you will have to retrace all of your steps just to find that one website. Me and my partner lost a website without citing our sources and it was a very stressful week for us because that was one of the only things we could focus on. At that time we only had a little bit of research done and we couldn’t do it until we found our bibliography.

My third piece of advice is to practice before your presentation because if you don’t practice then you might mess up. You have to practice what you are going to say but don’t write it down or use a script because then you will look unprofessional and unprepared. Just go with the flow and what you think will be the best thing to say.

My last piece of advice is to Choose a topic that you were very interested in it. If you choose a topic that you aren’t really interested in then you will get bored halfway through exhibition. Don’t choose a topic just because your best friend is going to do it because you might not be interested in it. I was going to do a pollution topic because my friend was doing it but I realize that I wasn’t very interested in it and I would rather do something more creative so I choose music therapy.

I hope this letter helps you through the journey ahead. Remember to stay on task, cite your sources right away, practice your presentation and choose a topic you are interested in.

Good Luck!

Lorelei

My name is Sandra our central idea is an inquiry into the nature of a self belief and values personal physical mental social and spiritual health human relationship including families friends community’s and cultural rights and responsibility what it means to be human. My topic is water pollution and how it affects the bow river watershed. I choose this topic because I wanted to learn more about water pollution and help stop it.

My first piece of advice is to pick a topic you want to do and don’t pick a topic your friends choose because if you choose a topic your friends choose then you and your friends(s)will talk and fool around and not get your work done.

My second Piece of is cooperate with your partner(s) so that you can get along and so you can get your work done rather then arguing because if you argue and don’t work then you will not get your work done and you will have to catch up on all of the work.

My third piece of advice is to site your source right away because if you don’t site your source right a way then you will have to go back and have to find all of your sources and it will take a long time.

I hope this letter helps you during exhibition in working with your partner(s) use your time wisely and not forgetting your information/ sources.

Yours sincerely,

Sandra

Dear future grade fives students

Dear future grade fives students.

Hi my name Trey  and our central idea was society responsibility is to build a physical and mentally healthy community and my topic was concussions in sports I chose it because I wanted to bring back some awareness about concussion so kids and adults can be more safe in what there doing I am writing a letter so I can tell you about  exhibition. Here is some advice so you can complete exhibition in a good mood.

1 my first piece of advice is be on task all the time because you will never get stuff done if you are fooling around and also don’t be around your friends because you will get off task and never get research done and research is so hard  also be aware you are because there’s something that will. Attract you to touch or play with and what you are doing find a good spot so you will not get off task.

2 second piece of advice is choose a good topic for you try not to be with your friends  because you will get in trouble if there your best friend and get off task and make sure it’s a  proper topic for you.

3 my third advice is think positive about exhaustion because if you are struggling go take a walk or find your mentor That’s in the school and ask for some help. When you have to research you questions it will get frustrating because you will probably go through ten different sites to find the answer

I hope that this help you out three important things to know about  exhibition

1 don’t get frustrated

2 have a proper action and topic

3 the most important is have fun.

Sincerely Trey Johnson.

Dear Future Grade 5’s

Dear Future Grade 5 Students

Hello My name is Nooren,Our Central idea was Society’s Responsibility is to build a physically and mentally healthy community. My topic for Exhibition was Water Pollution and how it affects the Bow River Watershed.

My first piece of advice is pick a topic that you are passionate about not a topic your friend wants. Because your going to learn about that topic for 10 weeks and if your not interested in that topic it’s going to be boring and hard. But if you pick a topic you like it’s going to be fun even without your friends.

My second piece of advice is that you stay focused and stay on task. If you don’t further on you are going to struggle because your going to be left behind and being left behind on one thing in exhibition is a big deal it will affect you a lot.

My last piece of advice is that when it’s showcase time make sure to speak loud and clear so you look and sound confident also always keep eye contact with everyone so that you look interested and it will keep the audience interested. Lastly don’t fidget because if you fidget you will look like your nervous and don’t know your topic perfectly.

I hope that my feedback will help you throughout exhibition.

Make sure to pick a topic you like, stay on task, speak loud and clear keep eye contact and don’t fidget.

Best wishes from Nooren
