Dear grade 5 students

My name is Mostafa. The central idea of who we are is society’s responsibility is to build a physically and mentally healthy community.  My topic is preventions and solutions to air pollution. I chose this topic because I chose this topic because I wanted you see different ways to prevent air pollution. This letter is to let you know what exhibition Is about, and suggestions.

One piece of advice I could give you, is to work well with your group. If you don’t work well with your group you will always get into arguments. That could so you down by a lot.

Second piece of advice is don’t get off task.Time flies bye and when you waste time You always think you have all the time in the world but you don’t.

Third piece of advice is don’t talk to other groups. If you talk to other groups is getting your group and other groups off task.

I hope this letter helps. Don’t forget work well with your group, don’t get off task,or talk to other groups.

Best wishes,

Mostafa

Dear future grade fives students

Dear future grade fives students.

Hi my name Trey  and our central idea was society responsibility is to build a physical and mentally healthy community and my topic was concussions in sports I chose it because I wanted to bring back some awareness about concussion so kids and adults can be more safe in what there doing I am writing a letter so I can tell you about  exhibition. Here is some advice so you can complete exhibition in a good mood.

1 my first piece of advice is be on task all the time because you will never get stuff done if you are fooling around and also don’t be around your friends because you will get off task and never get research done and research is so hard  also be aware you are because there’s something that will. Attract you to touch or play with and what you are doing find a good spot so you will not get off task.

2 second piece of advice is choose a good topic for you try not to be with your friends  because you will get in trouble if there your best friend and get off task and make sure it’s a  proper topic for you.

3 my third advice is think positive about exhaustion because if you are struggling go take a walk or find your mentor That’s in the school and ask for some help. When you have to research you questions it will get frustrating because you will probably go through ten different sites to find the answer

I hope that this help you out three important things to know about  exhibition

1 don’t get frustrated

2 have a proper action and topic

3 the most important is have fun.

Sincerely Trey Johnson.

Dear Future Grade 5 Students

Dear Future Grade 5 Students,

Hi my name is Alexis. Our central idea was Society’s responsibility is to build a physically and mentally healthy community. My topic was Preventions And Solutions to Air Pollution. I choose my topic because I have always wondered what are some preventions and solutions to air pollution. In this letter I will be giving you some advice about Exhibition.

My first piece of advice is to stay on task. It is very important to stay on task because if your whole group is not on task then you will never get any work done. Whenever my group was off task we would not get any work done one day and then we would have to do tons of work the next day.

My next piece of advice is to get along with your group members. It is very important to get along with your group members because if you are arguing with your group members the whole time you will never get any work done. For example my group would argue sometimes and then we would end up not getting any work.

My final piece of advice is to cite your sources. It is very important to cite your sources because then you will have to go back and find out where you got your information from which will take up time you could be doing other important things like researching. My group had that problem and we ended up having to go back to find out where we got our information from which took up time we could have been researching.

I hope this letter helps you through your Exhibition journey. Remember to always stay on task, get along with your group members, and always cite your sources the first time.

Sincerely,

Alexis

Dear Future Grade 5 Students,

My name is Safiyah and for my topic, I chose Effects Of Child Neglect. I have three other group members that chose the same topic as me. Surprisingly, even though some of my group members don’t know me very well and I don’t know them, we got along quite well at the end. Our Central Idea:
“ Society’s Responsibility is to Build a Physically and Mentally Healthy Community. “

My first piece of advice is to be principled because if you aren’t, then you might not stay on task very often or get a lot of work done at the end. Why you need to be principled is because Exhibition goes very fast although we had nine weeks to do it, it still felt like it came very quickly. Another reason you have to be principled is because you need to finish a lot of work such as finding places/people to interview, answer questions, finding research, etc.

Another piece of advice that I am sharing with you is to find good sources of information . This might not seem like a ginormous necessity but It will be a huge problem if you didn’t get a lot of great research done and then suddenly have nothing to say during your presentation.

My last piece of advice and most important piece of advice for you is to have fun! This is a one in a lifetime thing. Just appreciate the time that you have and make it last!

Sincerely,

Safiyah

Dear Future Grade 5 Students

Dear Future Grade 5 Students,

Hi my name is Tiffany. In my opinion Exhibition was fun and stressful at the same time. I had fun but in the end when it came to showcase I was stressed and nervous. Our Central Idea was “Society’s responsibility is to build a physically and mentally healthy community”. My topic was“ The Effects of Child Neglect” I chose this because I wanted to find a solution to this issue.

One piece of advice is to work well with your group mates because Exhibition involves a lot of teamwork. If you don’t work well with your group you might not get as much work done as you hoped you would. My group and I we didn’t work well at times and we wasted a bit of time doing this.

Another piece of advice is to work hard because if you don’t you might not have enough work to talk about during the showcase. Remember to try not get distracted as much. You should get lots of work if your working hard.

My last piece of advice is to remember to reread your information. When it comes to exhibition you won’t have anything to read off of. If you do it will help you when it comes to showcase so you will have lots to talk about.

Anyways good luck on Exhibition! I hope you get lots of work done and do well at showcase!! Remember to work hard!!

Best wishes,

Tiffany

Dear Future Grade 5 Students

Dear Future Grade 5 Students,

Hi my name is Lindsay and my topic for Exhibition was Immunizations vs non Immunizations. This year the central idea was “Society’s responsibility is to build a physically and mentally healthy community.”

One piece of advice for you is to stay on task! My group wasn’t on task all the time. We each lost our iPad once one of my group members. Was playing a video game and lost hers. I was trying to get her off of it but my teacher didn’t understand and he took mine too. My other group member was misusing her iPad and she got it taken away.

My second piece of advice for you is to get along with your group. Even if your with people who make you uncomfortable or don’t work well with you. Even if their your best friend you need to work with them. I was with someone who argues with me a lot and makes me unhappy. I worked with her and it wasn’t as bad as I thought.

My last piece of advice is to have fun and don’t be nervous just relax. You and your group researched this topic for 9 weeks so you will be experts on your topic. You may not think you can remember all the information but it’s in your brain waiting for Exhibition.

Best Wishes,

Lindsay

VD Dear Future Grade 5 Students

Dear Future Grade 5 Students,

My name is Vy and for Exhibition my partner and I chose Creativity in Schools for our topic. Our Central idea is Society’s Responsibility is to Build a Physically and Mentally Healthy Community. My partner and I thought of a lot of things for our Essential Agreement such as, no talking to other groups, Or being nice and honest because all of those things are very important in Exhibition.

My advice for you is to stay on task all the times because those nine weeks are very short although it might seem long it’s a very long process. My partner and I had talked to some people and that sometimes got us off task. Those times when we were off task were the moments we could’ve done something important.

Another piece of advice for you is to be open-minded when you are doing your work because if you are constantly doing your own idea, then your partner is not getting the chance to share their own ideas. The whole point of Exhibition is to show what you know and if your not being open-minded and letting people show it, then it’s practically your topic.

The last piece of advice I have for you is have fun flipping frazzle time and try to get to know your group members or member because they might be more fun than you think. Although you might have some fights and arguments but sometimes your best ideas are from arguments.

That is all the advice I have for you, I hope you find this advice helpful and do well in Exhibition. I hope you have fun and know that not everything is math and that but it’s a lot more fun than you expect.

Sincerely,

Vy

Future Grade 5 Students

Dear Future Grade 5 Students,

My name is Porter and I have a few things to tell you about Exhibition. The Grade 5 Exhibition Central Idea is: Society’s responsibility is to build a physically and mentally healthy community, and my topic was Poverty.

Exhibition was very stressful and scary, it was stressful because the topic was studying was Poverty and it wasn’t even in my top 3 of choices, so I didn’t want to do Exhibition. It was scary because I didn’t want this topic so I didn’t want to do anything but I realized that my partner wasn’t able to do Exhibition by herself so we weren’t going to finish, so I decided to help out.

A piece of advice I have is even if you don’t get the partner or the topic you want don’t give up and try your hardest to succeed and it will be perfectly fine.

Another piece of advice I have is when you think your done read over your information use your time wisely and get more information and then your presentation will be great.

Finally my last piece of advice is have fun, work hard, collaborate with your partner, have a great time, and when your presenting enjoy the moment.

I hope you find this advice helpful, and good luck with Exhibition.

Sincerely,

Kind Regards Porter

EW Final blog post

My biggest challenge during Exhibition was the research. I overcome it by keeping myself together. Mr. Walton printed off the information. I worked hard, and highlighting the information.

My goal of using thinking skill was achieved. I did my interview with a little bit of help. I made a carpool poster.

The most important aspect of Exhibition was the Showcase because I got to tell people what I learned about my topic. I shared about Chestermere carpooling.

If I did Exhibition again I would do more interviews because I learned a lot about hybrid and electric cars.

During Exhibition I have learned that when I work hard and stay on task I can get a lot of work done. I know this because I wrote about carpooling.

Final post

My biggest challenge during Exhibition was getting to know my information really well. I overcame that by reading it over and over again.
My goal of asking questions was sort of achieved because I did ask questions but not too many.
The most important, interesting or meaningful aspect of exhibition foot me was doing the research because if we did not do it we would not be experts on our topic. It is also important because if we did not do research we would not have any information to tell the people that come to our group when we are presenting to them.
If I could experience exhibition again I would be more positive while we were doing our presentation to the school or the parents, not look so nervous and freaked out.
I learned that I do not get along with certain people. I also learned that I am not to good at asking questions about certain things.
