finally reflection of exhibition-Makaila

  • What is the biggest challenge you faced during the process of Exhibition?

I think that the biggest challenge I faced in exhibition was working with my partner and doing research for nine weeks because me and my partner would get in fights but then Mrs.E and mrs.mckornon helped us.

  • How did you work to solve or overcome that challenge?

We took little breaks away from each other sometimes because we needed to go for a walk or to get away from eachother for a few minutes because he got under my skin so we had to have a teacher help us but I’m glad and proud of myself and my partner.

  • What have you learned about yourself since being involved in Exhibition?

I can learn new stuff and gather that information and use it o give other people knowledge.

  • What was the most important, interesting or meaningful aspect of Exhibition for you? Why?

I have to say the information and interviews because they where are primary sources for our topics and it was super fun skypeing people and talking to them.

  • What would you do differently, or be more mindful of if you could experience Exhibition again?

I would try to get more interviews and I would like more people in my group and go on a  Field trip  to the Calgary fire station and have fun!

  • What advice and suggestions would you like to give to the students who will work through Exhibition next year?

My advice and suggestions are to pick a topic YOU want and not what your friends want, and don’t work with your friends because then you will fall behind and it is really hard to catch up and don’t fool around.

Final Reflection

What is the biggest challenge you faced during the process of Exhibition?
How do did you work to solve or overcome that challenge?

The biggest challenge me and Alex faced was getting our iPads taken away becuase we had to do homework and do our work on paper. We were lucky that Ms rentz let us use the iPads for our interviews when we had no iPad. We had to ask the interview questions on a piece of paper that had the questions on it.

What have you learned about yourself since being involved in Exhibition?

I learned that I can be a very helpful group member becuase I was helping out the with tools. The tools are these little plastic tools in a toolbox that had strategies and things to help with anxiety and depression.I was making really good interview questions and I was involved in the conversations. On exhibition night I was ready for the questions that the adults asked us.

What was the most important, interesting or meaningful aspect of Exhibition for you? Why?

I wanted to learn why anxiety and depression is such a big problem in Canada becuase over 4 million me  and women anually suffer from anxiety and depression so I wanted learn why it has increased  so much lately. I think that these days people are treating the people that suffer a lot more respectful and making them fell like there not alone

What would you do differently, or be more mindful of if you could experience Exhibition again?

I would stay more on task and not fool around in the rooms were the teachers usually don’t go. Then we had to work where everybody was, in the hall.

What advice and suggestions would you like to give to the students who will work through Exhibition next year?

To not ever to fool around on the iPads they are a great resource to help with your research and if you want homework or want to write your research on paper don’t get your iPad taken away. If you ever feel like playing games please stop the thought becuase it could get you into even more trouble.

Final Reflection

What is the biggest challenge you faced during the process of Exhibition?

The biggest challenge during exhibition was at first researching because I was off task or didn’t really know what to do if I got bored. My other struggle was not having a group to help with what to do or to help when I’m presenting.

How did you work to solve or overcome that challenge?

For my first challenge I had help from Mrs Hooper on websites and ideas I also got help from Mrs E, with thinking of questions and getting interviews. For my other struggle I worked with Jesse if I didn’t get something or forgot what to do.

What have you learned about yourself since being involved in Exhibition?

I learned that I’m a lot more independent and involved than I thought because I picked a topic that I’m interested in and feel affected by it. I’m independent because I got lots of research done in the end and was able to ask for tips or help.

What was the most important, interesting or meaningful aspect of Exhibition for you? Why?

The most important aspect of exhibition was probably staying on task and getting questions to research on. Also when you’re almost done you need to think of how you are going to present it and what you’re going to do.

What would you do differently, or be more mindful of if you could experience Exhibition again?

I would probably stay on task a lot more and not try to rush through and get all of my questions answered because it’s more important to have a good answer than have a ton. I also would try not to switch the focus of my topic so much and try to stay the same to make it easier.

What advice and suggestions would you like to give to the students who will work through Exhibition next year?

Stay on task and make sure you pick a good topic that you can research a lot on and learn about. Also keep your topic within the same category so you can make it easier and not fight with your group.

Exhibition Reflections

I’m proud of picking a topic that I can get interviews and research on although I’m still passionate about. Even though I liked the topic there were still struggles but me and my partner got through them.

Exhibition is different from other projects because it takes 9 to 10 weeks there’s interviews and you need to pick a topic that connects to s exhibition is different from other projects because it takes 9 to 10 weeks, there’s interviews and you need to pick a topic that connects to a Central idea. You need to create the central idea in groups.

I think my presentation inspired people because when they listened to it They felt like they wanted to help people with depression anxiety. They also felt like they wanted a pet in case they ever got depressed or mad.

Now that I’ve Experienced exhibition I will use the Skills to do good in college and get a good job and live a good life. I will also use the skills in middle school, junior high and high school. Because of Exhibition I have practiced my skills and
learned a lot.

My mentor almost acted like a border on the side of our path she couldn’t stop us from going backwards because that was our job but she kept us inline and made sure we did what we needed to do.

Reflections

I am proud of are show case because Olivia and I had a conversation not a scripted and we did not take turns not one then the other

Exhibition is different the normal  projects because it takes a lot longer than most and it’s got the pyp program in it and it’s got a lot more  support from teachers and adults.

I think that everyone new the handy cap sign but the rest they did not and we told them what they mean and I think that when those people are in some sort of community facility they will see those signs and take that into  consideration.

For  projects in the future I will take my communication skills and  cooperation skills because they were very useful in exhibition all of the other ones were to.

I thought my mentor was a big help and he gave us way more ideas and  he had a lot more community sources.

Final Reflection-Interviews

Explain who you interviewed and why you chose them?

I interviewed the principal of Chestermere High School I chose him because I felt like he could tell me about some of the side effects of doing marijuana.

What was it like to interview people?

Interviewing people was fun and help me with my research because it was fun and helped me answer my research questions.

What was challenging about it?

Something that was challenging was trying to get these interviews because some clinics wouldn’t allow minors.

Why is important to interview people?

Important to interview people because it can help you find all the answers you made questions you made about your topic .

What did you gain from interviewing people?

I gained answers to my questions from the interviews and the most helpful  one was the interview with RAF?

FEEDBACK from Exhibtion

Me and my group needed to work on it with this because when my group did the TED Talk we didn’t speak loud enough and for sure we had to work on it.

I agree with this because we didn’t have a lot of information in our research facts but it started to grow every week and we did well

I make a agreement with this because next year we are going to middle school and we are gonna more stuff about the world and more.
