What is the biggest challenge you faced during the process of Exhibition?
Staying on task because I was fooling around most of the time and not doing my work so we were falling behind on exhibition because me and Phillip were fooling around so not as much work was getting done so it took longer and we almost didn’t finish our questions.
Another struggle was researching because we had to check more than one website to find the right answer. Also because there was not a lot of websites to go onto to find that information that took even longer than it need to.
How did you work to solve or overcome that challenge?
I overcame that challenge by staying on task and doing my work and not fooling around.
We overcame the other challenge by having some interviews and that helped us finish our questions.
What have you learned about yourself since being involved in Exhibition?
Ive learned that I’m a good speaker to a crowd.
What was the most important, interesting or meaningful aspect of Exhibition for you? Why?
I think the most important part is your cooperation skills because if you don’t have good cooperation skills then your not going to finish in time. Also you need them to work.
What would you do differently, or be more mindful of if you could experience Exhibition again?
I would pick and different topic because I already know a lot of thing about gaming so what’s the point. I would also not fool around as much.
What advice and suggestions would you like to give to the students who will work through Exhibition next year?
make sure to talk to your group about what question your doing so that way you won’t do the same question.
I chose the bottom one because im proud of that one because it has lots of stuff we good on. And also because it had lots of postitive stuff on it.
Alida says -there was an exhibit about not gaming all day; they taught what can happen if you game too long – lack of sleep, getting addicted to the game. I agree with this because it says stuff we did say and it doesn’t say lies.
keerut says effects of gaming I liked their creations and never knew what it did to you.
I’m proud of doing the exhibition because we were falling behind then we caught up on work.
Explain who you interviewed and why you chose them?
We interviewed Cam Adair, Dr Hasleem and Jared Hidber. We chose them because they are all experts on our topic. And they know a lot of this topic.
What was it like to interview people?
It was fun. And the first interview was challenging because we didn’t decide which question we would say.
What was challenging about it?
it was challenging because we didn’t decide which questions we were gonna do. And also when we were Skyping it kept cutting out so we couldn’t hear him.
Why is it important to interview people?
It’s important because they are experts and we get way more info from them than from lots of websites. And also because it can teach us how to speak to a crowd.
What did you gain from interviewing people?
We gained confidence because we were gonna talking professionally and that’s what we need in life. Because we get more info and we had to a presentation and we had to speak out loud.
How do I feel things are going? I think things are going great. Because we are all working together really good. And also they are getting done really quick. And the only thing we have left is what we are going to say.
What questions did I ask? I asked what should we add to our project? And also is it good enough? And I asked what should we say for our project?
Update: We have finished our project. And now we finished our thank you cards. And also we are doing our action.
Update: We finished our research questions. And also we had a interview.
What has been the biggest struggle? The biggest struggle was finishing research questions we over came this by having a interview.
What are the plans for exhibition action? Our plans are to go on cougar news and also the mourning announcements to tell we are giving positive cards.
What skills/attributes/attitudes did you use. I used cooperation. By working with my group and talking and interacting.
Why should people come see your exhibition? They should come see it to find out some stuff about the effects of gaming. And also because we worked really hard on it.
What are your plans for showcasing? Our showcase is a giant 3D eye. We are doing a giant eye because we want to attract people to our showcase and also it relates to our topic because gaming can effect your eyes.
What questions did I ask? A question I asked was what research question are you doing? And also I asked where should we sit? I asked my group these questions.
What have I done? I have done some research questions. I also looked for websites we can use to get information. And also We had a mentor meeting.
Update we decided on a action to do. And also we are finishing research questions.
Describe one of your main ideas/focus that have come out of the your discussion?
Our main focus was the exhibition guide book. And also our central agreement.
what are you excited about in exhibition?
Im excited about starting our research.
And figuring out our questions.
What was challenging about the process? Something challenging about the process was someone in my group not helping. They keep getting mad. Going for a walk a lot because they are mad.
Exhibition inspires me to take action by if someone is on there phone and they are at a football game then I will tell them to put it away and watch the game. And also if my brother plays for more than a hour then I will kick him off if my time isn’t up
What TD skills are important throughout exhibition? Social skills are important because if you can’t talk to your group then you will end up doing the same question and have the same answer to the question and it would waste time. Research skills are also important because for exhibition a big part of it is research so you need this skill.
A update I have is I had a mentor meeting and I’m mostly working on our research questions.
