What is the biggest challenge you faced during the process of Exhibition?
My biggest challenge during exhibition was staying on task because during my research I didn’t have a partner to talk to so I would talk to other groups and make them get of task as well.
How did you work to solve or overcome that challenge?
I would focus on one thing and try not to talk as much as I did at the start of exhibition which help a little but I would still talk to other groups one times and I would get off task.
What have you learned about yourself since being involved in Exhibition?
I learned that if you really pay attention to a project you can get it done a with a lot more detail and also it can give you more time to focus on the little things you need done.
What was the most important, interesting or meaningful aspect of Exhibition for you? Why?
The most important thing for me during exhibition was getting interviews because if find a good person to talk to about your topic. It can also help you answer your questions with a lot more detail and help you have a better presentation.
What would you do differently, or be more mindful of if you could experience Exhibition again?
I would be a lot more focused on exhibition and not fool around as much because I would help me have a better presentation and better answers for my questions.
What advice and suggestions would you like to give to the students who will work through Exhibition next year?
I would say they shouldn’t fool around and focus on exhibition more and it help you answer your questions faster and also help your bigger tasks done.
I am proud of myself because I was confident when I had to presented my research to the grade 4’s.
Explain who you interviewed and why you chose them?
I interviewed the principal of Chestermere High School I chose him because I felt like he could tell me about some of the side effects of doing marijuana.
What was it like to interview people?
Interviewing people was fun and help me with my research because it was fun and helped me answer my research questions.
What was challenging about it?
Something that was challenging was trying to get these interviews because some clinics wouldn’t allow minors.
Why is important to interview people?
Important to interview people because it can help you find all the answers you made questions you made about your topic .
What did you gain from interviewing people?
I gained answers to my questions from the interviews and the most helpful one was the interview with RAF?
I feel things are going ok but this weekend I have to work on my display so it is hard to do by yourself. I also think my research is going well I have one question left.
I have found out that exhibition is hard by yourself and that you can’t fool around with other groups. I have also figured out that it is hard to do your research when there’s only you.
This week I have been working on my display which is a 3D model of a marijuana plant.
update: My action idea is to wright a letter to the town hall talking about the laws they will make when marijuana is legalized in Canada. My showcase idea is to make a model of a marijuana plant.
The biggest struggle for me is doing research questions i overcome because of the help of my mentor because she helped me look through miss hoopers websites.
During exhibition i found out that i could do work by myself and i work better by myself because it is calmer and you don’t have people telling you what to do.
People should come see my exhibition because it will show them what happens when you take marijuana and why you shouldn’t take it.
1.I feel things are going well but I haven’t got a interview yet but I’m probably going to have one on Monday so I think it is going well. I also think that my research is going well it has a lot of detail in it now.
2.I have done a lot of research and I have got more answers done for my questions I have in my research doc. I have also made a survey for people to answer about the legalization of marijuana.
Something that was challenging was having to find interviews but my mentor helped me and now I have 2 possible interviews. I also think reaserching was hard because you need to have to have at least 1 interview to answer some of your question.
Thinking skills are important because you need to come up with creative answers on your own because you can’t copy and paste something on a website. Independence is important to me because I’m by myself so I need to stay focused and not fool around.
Exhibition inspires me to take action because this is a world wide thing and I think when it is legalized people will stop smoking marijuana to look cool. I also think legalizing it will help people who take medical marijuana because then people can take it over the border.
I have emailed RAF back and gave him a list of interview question I me and my mentor came up with and we found a medical marijuana clinic I could interview.
I have successfully done one of my goals which was to have my work done on time.
