What is the biggest challenge you faced during the process of Exhibition?

I feel like the biggest challenge was getting along with my group because  we were always getting into big fights over little things and not getting our work done.

How did you work to solve or overcome that challenge?

We usually  just yell at each other until one of us gives in.  Sometimes we talk to each other and see which way we like better, but not to be offensive, some of my group mates are quite stubborn so sometimes we get a teacher to help and that usually works.

What have you learned about yourself since being involved in Exhibition?

I learned that I like to work with people, but sometimes I like to work alone. I also discovered that I really like to present things.

What was the most important, interesting or meaningful aspect of Exhibition for you? Why?

The  most important part of exhibition is…

Everything Because it’s all important. You can’t present without research and you can’t go on to present without a display. It’s all important!

What would you do differently, or be more mindful of if you could experience Exhibition again?

I would probably choose a different group. We didn’t work well together and were always fighting about who does what and  that it has to look professional. I liked my topic, but not my group.

What advice and suggestions would you like to give to the students who will work through Exhibition next year?
I would say to stay on task, use your time wisely, don’t be shy to express yourself when decorating your display and choose a topic that you actually want to do. Trust me, it makes things a lot easier.

Feedback Abby

Roman from mrs. Chapman’s class says: “there was a station about Immunizations. They had needles to represent what Immunizations are and what they are made of.”

I agree with this one because we did show them a model of a vaccine and told them what they were made out of and what they were.

On mrs. Spears blog it said : “ the grade 5 students were very knowledgeable about their topics “

I agree with this because we knew a lot more about our topic than most of the grown ups would think.

Jana from ms. Michies class says: “ they added a lot of detail”

i agree with this because the presentation was kinda long because we added a lot of details.

Final reflection Abby

Explain who you interviewed and why you chose them.

We interviewed a lady named Sylvia. We interviewed her because she works at the Chestermere community health Center and she could probably answer the rest of the questions.

What was it like to interview people ?

It was pretty cool and you get to learn some things that you didn’t know before.

What was challenging about it ?

I think that finding a person that was against vaccines  to interview was hard because not very many people really want to talk about it.

Why is it important to interview people?

Its important because sometimes you can’t just search up a question or read a book and it’s nice to talk to a real person not the internet.

What did you gain from interviewing people?

We got info and since we only had those Qs left, we gained the permission to start on our display.

Week 8 Abby

what have I done?

I am almost done my display and we are all done our research.

how do I feel things are going?

pretty good. We are exited to present, but also kinda worried about if everyone will like it. Other than that I think things are going great .

what do I have to do next?

Add some finishing touches to our display and then present.

Week 7 Abby

My action is to write a book and show it at exhibition. We will probably make some of it interactive, and build a model .

The biggest struggle was to finish all the research because we kept getting off task and only sometimes working.

I found out that I like to talk with my group, but I also like to work alone while listening to music.

I think people will want to come to our group because our displays will be cool ( we  planned them yesterday) and we are very nice.
