Spring Exhibitions in Rocky View

RVS learning design team works with teachers and leaders in Rocky View Schools to define the learning needs of stakeholders and to collaboratively tackle design challenges. We begin with field experiences in order to develop empathy for the people for whom we are designing and to uncover the needs we want to address. Through ideation, we develop a range of solutions, and then create prototypes to test in the field. We share our insights and experiences with our broader community through storytelling.

May 10 - RVS Maker Exhibition and Gala

We’re excited to be able to share with you our plans for the RVS Maker Fair. Firstly, the event will be May 10th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Education Center in Airdrie. The event itself will have a variety of components that we hope will offer you and your students some opportunity to participate in a number of different ways:
 
+ The EC lobby will be used to display maker projects from around the division. 
 
+ Maker demonstrations. 
 
+ Rocky Talk/Q&A. 

June 5 - RVS Living Local Exhibition and Gala

We’re excited to be able to share with you our plans for the RVS Living Local Exhibition and Gala. Firstly, the event will be June 5th all day at the Education Center in Airdrie. The event itself will have a variety of components that we hope will offer you and your students some opportunity to participate in a number of different ways:
 
+ The EC lobby will be used to display living local projects from around the division. 
 
+ Living Local demonstrations.
 
+ Rocky Talk/Q&A. 
 

June 5 - Building Futures Cochrane Celebration

Join the Cochrane Building Futures students, teachers, parents and community partners between 5:30pm and 7:30pm to see the amazing projects and HOUSE built by these innovative hard working students!

June 26 - East Lake Physical Literacy Fun Run

This whole school, all day event will have kids up, active and having fun! Come out for the day and take part in the Run Canada fun run, or the sports activities that will be happening throughout the day!

June 20 - Prairie Waters Elementary Exhibition

Come celebrate all day with the Prairie Waters Elementary School! Find out what is so unique about being the only IB elementary school in the division!

April 25 - East Lake Maker Exhibition

Join the East Lake students, teachers and UofC student teachers between 12:45pm and 2pm to see the amazing things that have been made this spring!

April 26 - Elizabeth Barrett Maker Exhibition

Join the Elizabeth Barrett students, teachers and UofC student teachers between 10:00am and 11:30am to see the amazing things that have been made this spring! Students have worked alongside local Sikh community in Calgary through their studies of various cultures around the world!

May 9 - Prairie Water PYP Exhibition

The grade 5 students of Prairie Waters Elementary School are ecstatic to present the Primary Years Programme exhibition. The grade 5s cordially invite you to help them take action and to join in a conversation about their learning journey through the culminating project of the PYP.
