Cooper's Crossing

Active Care
We have a vision that all of our students will become confident, competent, and caring individuals who demonstrate solid character and are able to positively impact their school, families and communities.

Purposeful Instruction
– bringing joy to learning,
– common school-wide educational goals and approaches, and
– collaborative planning that leads to rich learning experiences for all students.

Focused Leadership
We have a vision that all of our students will become confident, competent, and caring individuals who demonstrate solid character and are able to positively impact their school, families and communities.

Big Idea: Purposeful Instructional Design for engagement and success

Driving Questions:
How might we design learning for students that is authentic and engaging?
How might we design or redesign the experience of learning with a focus on leadership and character development?
What evidence are we collecting to support our learners?

Goals:
Shared experience of hands on learning using the RVS Instructional Design Framework
Shared vocabulary of instructional design for authenticity and engagement.

Deliverables:
A collaboratively designed learning opportunity for students to make, create or do that will happen, or begin, before the May 19 PL day where we will be sharing back to the group our experiences, and looking ahead to further collaborations.

How might we redesign education with a focus on leadership and character development in elementary schools?
